Who We Are
Our Roots
We are the private fishing club based on the pool at the Grange Porthill off Oaklands Ave or Inglewood Drive. We have a maximum of 25 members and so fishing is always very good and not over fished. The pool has a number of species of fish carp, ide, bream, roach, perch and many others. The membership comprises of all age groups and children under 16 are allowed to fish for free with a paying member. The fishing season is open 365 days a year and so for the membership fee of only £25 per year it is great value.
Activities
Events
Each month from April to October we hold a three hour fishing competition known as Fishing Mania when points are awarded for weight of fish received. We also hold an annual event on a Saturday for 6 hours known as The Ray Locker competition and a trophy awarded.
